Community and Programme Associate

About the Role

The Community and Programme Associate is BIH's 'Growth and Content Engine.' Your mission is to build a massive distribution network for our mission. You will document the stories of local entrepreneurs, manage our social media, and produce content (photos, videos, and podcasts) that reaches the heart of Nzemaland and beyond. You are a digital native who believes that visibility is the key to opportunity. Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content & Distribution: Create daily content for Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram that documents BIH's impact. Manage a growing community of followers.
  • Storytelling & Media: Conduct interviews with local participants, manage radio appearances, and assist in the production of the BIH Community Podcast.
  • Outreach & Recruitment: Lead mobilization efforts in churches, mosques, and schools to ensure we reach the right participants for our programmes.
  • Programme Documentation: High-quality photography and videography of all Hub activities for reporting and marketing.
  • Social Media Management: Grow our digital distribution channels to reach potential participants, partners, and future sponsors.
  • Operational Support: Assist the Director with logistics, participant registration, and day-to-day Hub activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Senior High School (SHS) certificate or equivalent.
  • Digital Native: Deep familiarity with Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and WhatsApp for business/community growth.
  • Content Creation: Basic skills in photography and short-form video editing (e.g., using CapCut or Canva).
  • Communication: Confident public speaker, comfortable representing BIH on the radio or in community forums.
  • Interest: A passion for podcasting, digital storytelling, and youth empowerment.
  • Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) Canva, CapCut, and simple audio recording tools.
  • Residency: Must be based in or near Aiyinasi. This role requires being where the stories are happening.
