Community and Programme Director

About the Role
The Community and Programme Director is BIH's most senior local leader. This role combines community leadership, programme delivery, and operational oversight. The Director is the face of BIH—building trust with traditional authorities, managing local partnerships, and ensuring our accelerator programmes are delivered with world-class excellence. You are responsible for turning BIH's vision into a lived reality in Nzemaland.
Key Responsibilities
- •Community Leadership: Build and sustain deep, trusted relationships with traditional authorities, chiefs, and local government stakeholders.
- •Programme Excellence: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of the NYEA and Digital Skills programmes, ensuring high participant engagement and graduation rates.
- •Partnership Development: Identify and secure local sponsors, venue partners, and community collaborators.
- •Operational Oversight: Manage local budgets, logistics, and infrastructure, ensuring the Hub remains audit-ready for international funders.
- •Impact Reporting: Use digital tools to track participant progress and generate quarterly impact reports for the founding team.
- •Team Management: Lead and mentor the Community and Programme Associate, fostering a culture of high performance and community service.
Requirements
- •Minimum Education: Senior High School (SHS) certificate required; University/Tertiary degree in a relevant field strongly preferred.
- •Experience: Demonstrated experience in community leadership, NGO management, or project coordination.
- •Language: Fluency in English and Nzema (or Twi) is essential for community engagement.
- •Tool Proficiency: Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs/Sheets) and Project Management tools (e.g., Notion or Trello).
- •Attributes: Exceptional interpersonal skills, high integrity, and a 'builder' mindset.
- •Residency: Must be based in or near Aiyinasi. This is a visible, in-person leadership role.
