Community and Programmes Coordinator

Aiyinasi, Ellembele, Ghana (In-person) Full-time

About the Role

The Community and Programmes Coordinator runs Bozoma Innovation Hub day to day. This is a founding role and the heartbeat of the Hub: you keep the doors open, the programmes running, and the community close. You will coordinate the delivery of our flagship 24 Karat Residency and our events, welcome and support the young people we serve, manage the space and its resources, and be the trusted, friendly face of BIH in Aiyinasi. You will work closely with the founder and the Business Development and Operations Lead. If you are organised, dependable, deeply rooted in the community, and you want to help build a lasting institution from the inside, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hub Operations: Run the day-to-day operations of the Hub, opening and closing, managing the space, equipment, internet, and power, and keeping everything ready for learning and events.
  • Programme Delivery: Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of BIH programmes, including the 24 Karat Residency, ensuring strong attendance, engagement, and a high-quality experience for every resident.
  • Community Engagement: Be the welcoming face of BIH, building trusted relationships with residents, families, schools, and local stakeholders, and mobilising young people for programmes and events.
  • Events Coordination: Plan and run the Hub's events on the ground, from Possibility Sessions and open days to Demo Day.
  • Resident Support: Support residents through the programme, track their progress, and follow up for twelve months after they finish.
  • Records and Reporting: Keep simple, honest records of attendance, activities, and outcomes, and share clear, regular reports with the founding team.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Senior High School (SHS) certificate required; a tertiary qualification is an advantage.
  • Organisation: Highly organised and dependable, able to juggle many moving parts and keep a busy hub running smoothly.
  • People Skills: Warm, trusted, and persuasive, with a genuine care for young people and a gift for building community.
  • Language: Fluency in English and Nzema (or Twi) is essential for community engagement.
  • Digital Comfort: Comfortable with everyday digital tools (Google Workspace, WhatsApp, smartphones) and eager to keep learning.
  • Local Knowledge: Deep familiarity with Aiyinasi and the surrounding Nzema communities.
  • Attributes: High integrity, a 'builder' mindset, and the patience to help grow an institution over time.
  • Residency: Must be based in or near Aiyinasi. This is a hands-on, in-person role.
