Every level builds on the one before. Start at Level 0 if you’ve never used a computer, or join at whatever level fits your experience — you’ll find out during your placement session.
Absolute Beginner
Never touched a computer before? We start here. Learn how to switch on a computer, use a mouse and keyboard, and navigate the screen.
Getting Comfortable
Build confidence with basic operations: opening programmes, saving files, creating folders, and managing your desktop.
Typing & File Management
Practise typing efficiently, organise your files and folders, and learn to find what you need quickly.
Internet & Email
Browse the web safely, search for information, set up and use email, and communicate online with confidence.
Word Processing
Create, format, and print documents. Write letters, reports, and CVs that look professional.
Spreadsheets & Data
Work with tables, basic formulas, and charts. Manage budgets, lists, and simple data for work or personal use.
Presentations
Design and deliver clear, effective presentations using slides, images, and structured content.
Digital Communication & Collaboration
Use messaging apps, video calls, cloud storage, and collaborative tools for work and everyday life.
Online Safety & Digital Citizenship
Protect yourself online: passwords, privacy, spotting scams, and using technology responsibly.

- 2You’ll be invited to a placement session at the hub where we’ll find your level, choose the days and hours that work for you, and agree on your schedule
